Self knowledge is our birthright. It teaches us how to negotiate and move through life in balance, harmony and beauty. The last frontier we can all explore is the inner frontier!

True knowledge is self knowledge, tested, felt and integrated into a way of life that always leads to a change in one's behaviour and change in one's health, hope, happiness, harmony and humour.

The LEAP program gives you the prerequisite knowledge – what we call the blueprints, roadmaps and keys to your inner world. You could call it the World Book of Self Knowledge.

It is a great journey – but you must do the walking. You must be willing to change and desire to LEAP into the next level of your evolution.

The Sweet Medicine SunDance Path is the path of the warrior. Choose to walk the path of inner discovery, inner knowing and inner wisdom. This path does not claim to do it for you! This path does not ask you to believe, but to test the knowledge and find out if it works for you. It offers you the opportunity to become an inquisitive, free thinking, autonomous individual who takes responsibility for life, and lives it to the fullest.

Okay, so where does all this come from?

  


For thousands of years – as in the present day – medicine women and men, shamans, sorcerers and magicians from various tribes of Turtle Island (North, South and Central America), travelled beyond their tribal boundaries to seek and collect knowledge from every direction of the Wheel of Life. Tremendous amounts of sacred knowledge about energy laws, ceremonial alchemy, healing techniques, communication with nature, sorcery and controlled dreaming were accumulated through the ages.

In 1250 B.C., these men and women founded a secret society – or magickal lodge – called the Rattlesnake School, later renamed the Twisted Hairs Metis Medicine Society Council of Elders. For many ancient people, hair symbolized knowledge. Twisted Hairs refers to those who take knowledge from all sources and weave it together to formulate true, timeless knowledge.

In 1975, hearing the call of Grandmother Earth and seeing both the need and readiness of the human world, the Elders decided to start releasing the teachings to all seekers. The path itself is called the Sweet Medicine SunDance Path and consists of wheels, keys, teachings and ceremonies as well as a ceremonial gateway process that is guided and directed by the Twisted Hairs Council of Elders.
